I’m lucky enough to live in an area where visits from deer, fox and other wildlife are daily occurrences. For the last few weeks I’ve been seeing the same group of six deer almost every day. My neighborhood is their neighborhood. Sometimes I wish I could approach them and make friends with them, but of course they need to stay as wild as possible. These Mule Deer, with their big soft ears and gentle eyes, could melt just about any heart!

AH!! Isn't he cute? We used to get deer a lot - but then we got a new dog about 3 years ago - no more deer. Our other dog left them alone, so they would come on the yard. This one chases them.
Oh well. Lovely picture.
How cute! i get road runners, Lizards, scorpions, and rabbits. I could do with out the scorpions and rabbits. The rabbits ate my lawn and my kids got to make a rabbit turd covered snowman this winter. The scorpions sting. That one was obvious.
Our deer are back this week - they know hunting season is over! Hammer, I feel your pain. Our rabbits are as big as pigs, I guess because they ate our yard, too.
I also have bunnies living under my front porch, but for now they're just cute (other than the occassional flower eaten).
Beautiful! Love your photography!
